Christian Baumeister

For over 20 years, Christian Baumeister and his company, Light & Shadow, have received international acclaim for their original wildlife documentaries. Christian is known for his award-winning and stunning cinematography and detailed animal portraits. He has produced and directed more than 25 programs, including four major series, for leading networks such as NDR, WDR, ZDF, BBC, ARTE, ORF, Smithsonian Channel, Discovery Channel, Servus TV, and National Geographic Wild.
Passionate about nature photography from a young age, Christian studied biology in Germany and nature filmmaking in the UK. Before founding his own company, Light & Shadow, his work as a nature cameraman took him to South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
