Rosa Isabel Angelini Figueroa
Rosa Angelini Figueroa is a filmmaker, new media artist, musician, and immersive sound designer specializing in immersive audiovisual experiences. Her work intersects art, technology, and nature, focusing on environmental issues, the worldview of Indigenous peoples, and the relationship between people and nature in the context of climate crisis. She develops audiovisual works, installations, and immersive and ritual performances based on territorial and scientific research. She is the creator of the “Inmersión en la Mapu” saga, composed of four episodes filmed in ecosystems of the Andean Araucanía region, combining film, immersive sound, music, animation, new media, and 360° technologies. She also directs the immersive experiences studio and production company IMITELAB, has spearheaded projects such as “Hay una conspiración en la tierra” (There’s a Conspiracy on Earth) and “Volkana,” and is the founder and director of Gestoras en red (Network of Women Artists) and Red Trabajadoras de las artes (Network of Women Workers in the Arts). She holds a degree in Film (Universidad ARCIS) and a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts Education (UAHC).
