Mélia Roger
Mélia Roger (*1996) is a field recordist and artist dedicated to inspiring ecological change through empathetic, ambient listening. Her work explores the sonic poetics of the landscape, seeking the invisible layers between the human and the non-human. With a background in sound engineering (ENS Louis-Lumière in Paris, ZHdK in Zurich), Mélia pursues a dual practice: immersive 7.0.2 sound recordings within HAL and a more experimental and naturalistic approach to listening. Currently based in Le Fresnoy, she is a PhD candidate at the University of Lille, focusing on the relationship between sound arts and acoustic ecology.
