Juliette Marquis
Juliette D. Marquis is a Ukrainian-born documentary producer, director, and screenwriter whose work spans illegal trade, social justice, biotechnology, and hacking. She is the director of “Horn Maker,” a decade-long investigative documentary exploring the rhino horn trade and the revolutionary biotechnology that could transform wildlife conservation. Previously, Marquis produced and directed the second unit of “Renegade,” leading an undercover team in Mexico to expose human trafficking networks, and she is the creator and director of the series “Dent,” which profiles individuals shaping our world. Her producing credits include “The Jewel Thief” for Hulu, “The Butterfly Effect,” and the virtual reality film “An Elephant Story.” In 2020, she co-founded GroundStorm Media, which has produced films for American Masters, PBS, Hulu, and Netflix. Born in Kyiv, Marquis came to the United States as a refugee, and his early acting career earned him recognition from Roger Ebert and Screen International, with films premiering at Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca, and Berlin. He is currently launching KYNO, a social film platform for movie lovers.
