Julie Busse

Julie Busse, Co-Director
Julie Busse is a two-time Jackson Media Award-winning filmmaker and Emmy and Wildscreen nominee. She specializes in nature and art-house cinema, influenced by her unique background in dance filmmaking. In addition to co-directing and editing The Old Bear, she was the lead editor and producer on the award-winning films Living With Lions (Curiosity Stream) and Isolation To Creation (PBS), and the editing producer on the award-winning Leopard Dynasty: The Rise of Rana (Terra Mater). For a decade, she was the lead editor at Dancing Camera Productions in New York City. Julie earned her MFA in film from the University of Colorado Boulder. She believes that art-house, dance, and nature cinema complement each other perfectly through their lyrical flow, nonverbal storytelling, and tales of wonder and triumph.
