CEO and founder of Jumara Films, he has been involved in conservation projects since a young age, acquiring a deep understanding of the environmental problems affecting South America and its wildlife.
He is president of Aves Argentinas / BirdLife International, one of the most important environmental organizations in the region.
He recently completed filming the project “Perpetual Planet – Antarctica” (2025) for National Geographic Impact Story Lab aboard the Schmidt Ocean Institute’s Falkor (too); in 2024 he produced the King Penguin episode of the series “Darwin’s Amazing Animals,” a production for the Japanese public broadcaster NHK. In 2023, he was the cinematographer for the short film “Flora, Fauna, Funga” for National Geographic Impact Story Lab.
Also in 2023, he produced the documentary “Península Valdés: The Cradle of Patagonia” for National Geographic Pristine Seas, and co-produced the series “Wild Argentina” with Light & Shadow for National Geographic, WDR, ORF, and ARTE. He also produced the original documentary series “Pumas of the Steppe” for National Geographic.
As a director, he received an honorable mention at the 2022 World Wildlife Day Film Showcase for his documentary series “Conservation Heroes” (National Geographic).
Since 2020, he has coordinated and produced expeditions in Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile for the National Geographic Society’s Pristine Seas conservation project.
His extensive experience and passion for conservation have made him a leading figure in the field, and his work continues to inspire and educate people around the world.
