Johana Martínez Ramírez
Johana Martínez is a director, producer, screenwriter, and researcher. She is the co-founder of La Cifra Impar (2015), where she has developed an audiovisual body of work that balances sensitivity, rigor, and a deep understanding of the environment. For over a decade, she has cultivated a creative practice committed to documentary storytelling as a tool for thought, emotion, and transformation. Tierra Alta is her debut feature film.
She is the co-director of the documentary series Otros Caminos, winner of the Ángela Restrepo Moreno Journalism Award on Climate Change in the television category in 2022; she was the screenwriter and researcher for the documentary series Área Silvestre, winner of the Environmental Journalism Award granted by Deutsche Welle, Señal Colombia, and Semana Sostenible. She has also worked as a producer on several documentary series, including Cazador de Cascadas, Relatos de Viaje, and El Taller.
