Jean Chapiro Uziel

Jean Chapiro is a Mexican filmmaker and journalist who won a Student Academy Award for her short documentary film Hasta Encontrarlos and was nominated for an Ariel Award in 2025. As a producer, she was shortlisted for the 2026 Academy Awards and won two BAFTA Awards. She holds a Master of Arts in Documentary Journalism and a Master of Fine Arts in Film from Columbia University.
