Gobierno Territorial Autónomo Nación Wampis

The Autonomous Territorial Government of the Wampís Nation (GTANW) is the first autonomous indigenous government in Peru, made up of 27 communities inhabiting more than 1.3 million hectares in the Amazon. Its autonomy defends the integrity of the territory and life under the principle of Tarimat Pujut—living in abundance and harmony with nature.
