Cristian Barbosa

Cristian Barbosa is a self-taught sound designer, video editor, and music producer. While studying photography, he realized the limitations of still images as a storytelling medium, which led him to explore other disciplines, such as writing and sound. He has experimented with different media, and much of his creative work has been linked to the humanities. All of this knowledge converges in Embodied, a project that seeks to explore alternative audiovisual narratives around new ecologies. Refugia is his first short film as co-creative director.
